I am trying to decide on a travel system and the Eddie Bauer ones are all on sale. Does it buckle with the 2 pieces that fit on top of each other or the 2 metal pieces that each have a place to go in, like Graco car seats? I have not found a store that carries them, so I am unable to see for myself. Just trying to decide between Eddie Bauer, Graco and Evenflo.

  1. I have an Eddie Bauer for my first son and it worked great but if you lose the medal bar it wont attatch and my stroller only lasted a year before it broke. With my second son I got a Graco and I am much happier with it, it comes apart easier to clean, there is no medal bar it just clips in, and the stroller is holding up much better (but it is a double stroller this time) Read product reviews at babies r us .com it can give you a better idea on the products. Also go to stores like once upon a child (even if you dont want a used one) this way you can see different brands, push them around, and see what you like.

Sorry, I forgot. The EB has the medal clip that goes on top of the other, not like a Graco one.

  2. I have the Eddie Bauer Travel System and I do like it. The infant carrier car seat locks into place into a plastic base that can easily be seat buckled. The stroller that comes with it is also just as convenient, it’s a pleasure to push around. However, the stroller is very heavy to lift to put in the trunk (for me anyways). I haven’t tried any other brand so I can’t say which is better though. I got mine from Babies R Us. I would look online for reviews on all the brands you listed to decide before you buy. But overall, I would recommend the Eddie Bauer. Good Luck!

I chose a Graco travel system. I absolutely love the stroller and I liked the car seat too. It was very easy to use. I also chose the Eddie Bauer toddler car seat. It has to plastic pieces that snap together over the child’s chest and then it has two metal pieces that fit into a buckle that comes up between the child’s legs. I like mine and my baby seems very comfortable in it. It is easy to install in the car and the straps adjust easily. I would recommend that you buy one, especially if they are on sale. Check the return policy and if you don’t like it you can take it back.

  4. I got the travel system as a gift..And I believe they got it from
Target. I like the stroller b/c it only takes one hand to fold it and one hand to unfold it…but it does take two hands to put it in the trunk of the car.

The car seat I like as well but the center lock that goes in between ther legs is sometimes hard to lock and to unlock…

it also has a good storage under the seat…

  5. Just so you know, Eddie Bauer, Cosco and Safety 1st are all the same company (Dorel) and are designed the same but have different fabric options along with the different names. I had a Safety 1st travel system and I didn’t particularly care for it. One reason I hated it was that Dorel, in general, is a crappy company that has many recalls. The buckle you described is called a “puzzle” buckle. Very few seats have that design anymore because it was annoying and difficult to use. There are so many better and even affordable travel systems than Eddie Bauer (Dorel). As for Evenflo, I have about as much respect for them as I do for Dorel. Those are just 2 companies that make horrid infant seats. Definitely go for Graco. Especially, look into the Graco Safe Seat 1 infant seat. It lasts most babies until at least 18 mths of age because it has a 30lb weight limit instead of the typical 20-22lb.
